As the maintenance providers to Copthorne, CoolTechnic were asked to provide the design & carry out the installation of an energy efficient cooling/heating system to the main function area, used for weddings, receptions & functions in the Cardiff hotel. As the area was heavily booked the scheme was carried out in stages to minimise any disruption. During the period of the installation none of the planned functions required rescheduling. This project was completed to a strict budget & timescale.

Cool Technic were the appointed contractor for the removal of existing ventilation system & design/installation of new system in compliance with current Part F & fire regulations within this Grade II listed building.
As the building was fully occupied during all of these works, Cool Technic ensured close project management & constant communication with the

Cool Technic were also responsible for the commissioning and testing of these systems, comprising of over 50 fully occupied residential
apartments.

The building was also equipped with heat exchange fresh air systems, capable of lowering running costs using passive cooling throughout warm periods. The fit out was to the highest standard, with great emphasis throughout the design stage on establishing the client’s needs, requirements & expectations.

Cool Technic Ltd was called in by Eurofins to complete a Design & Build project backed by a proven track record & full Professional Indemnity.
The project included the design & installation of a heating, cooling & ventilation system to supply the forensic ‘clean’ & ‘dirty’ laboratory areas. The project was to incorporate fresh air in compliance with current regulations and to ensure the airflows were fully treated via ‘Hepa’ filtration units. The main testing area was to be a ‘close control area’ (+/- 0.5°c), there were also numerous positive & negative pressure zones required to prevent any contamination of clean zones. The client required Cool Technic to design, install, commission& maintain these systems and all associated works in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 Certification - the highest level of accreditation in Britain.
The works were completed to an extremely tight timescale and within the original budget.
